Salt Nic Disposables

Salt nicotine — or 'salt nic' — is the chemistry that makes high-strength disposable vapes possible. By pairing nicotine with a mild organic acid, salt nic delivers a fast, satisfying hit at 50mg/mL without the harsh throat burn of freebase nicotine. Every IGET disposable on this page is filled with smooth nic salt e-liquid.

What salt nic is, without the chemistry lecture

Nicotine in a tobacco leaf exists as a salt. Extract it and strip that pairing away and you get freebase nicotine — the fast, aggressive form used in cigarettes and in older sub-ohm vape juice. Salt nic simply puts the pairing back by adding a mild organic acid, usually benzoic acid.

That one change lowers the pH of the e-liquid. Lower pH means far less throat irritation, which is why 50mg/mL salt nic is comfortable while 50mg/mL freebase would be unvapeable. It also stabilises the molecule so absorption is quicker and more consistent.

Why every disposable we stock uses it

Disposables are deliberately low-power devices. A small mesh coil at a few watts cannot vaporise enough freebase e-liquid to satisfy a smoker without going harsh, so the chemistry has to do the work instead. Salt nic delivers a strong hit at low wattage — exactly what a pocket device needs.

There is a flavour benefit too. Because the harshness is gone, the fruit, menthol and dessert profiles come through cleanly rather than sitting behind a peppery bite. It is the reason a good salt nic device still tastes like the flavour on the label at puff eight thousand.

Getting the best from a salt nic device

Take slow two-to-three second draws and leave a gap between them. Salt nic absorbs quickly, so chain-vaping usually means you have taken more nicotine than you needed and it is why people report light-headedness rather than any fault with the device.

Store the device upright at room temperature and out of direct sun. Heat thins e-liquid and encourages leaking through the airflow path; cold thickens it and can cause weak draws until it warms back up.

Salt nic is not safer than any other nicotine — it is the same addictive substance, just more comfortable at strength. It is for adult smokers aged 18 and over, not for non-smokers, under-18s, or anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.

Safety First

Vape Safety & Responsible Use

Disposable vapes are intended to help adult smokers move away from combustible tobacco. Read these essentials before your first puff.

Adults 18+ only

Nicotine vaping products are strictly for adult smokers aged 18 and over. We age-verify every visitor and every order. Never supply a vape to a minor.

Know your nicotine strength

Our disposables use 50 mg/mL (5%) nicotine salt. Start with short 1–2 second puffs, pause between draws, and stop if you feel lightheaded, nauseous or your heart races.

Charge safely

Use a standard 5V/1A USB-C charger, never charge unattended or overnight, and stop using a device that gets hot, swells or leaks.

Store out of reach

Keep devices and e-liquid away from children and pets, out of direct sun and out of hot cars. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.

Not for everyone

Avoid if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, a non-smoker, or if you have heart conditions, high blood pressure or take medication for asthma or depression.

Dispose responsibly

Disposables contain a lithium battery — drop spent devices at an e-waste or battery recycling point, never in household waste.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is salt nic (nicotine salt) e-liquid?

Nicotine salt — often shortened to 'salt nic' — is a form of nicotine made by combining freebase nicotine with an organic acid (typically benzoic acid). The result is a more stable molecule that absorbs faster into the bloodstream and tastes smoother on the throat, even at high strengths like 50mg/mL.

Salt nic vs freebase nicotine — what's the difference?

Freebase nicotine is the 'pure' form used in cigarettes and sub-ohm vape juices; it hits hard but gets harsh above ~12mg/mL. Salt nic is engineered for high-strength, low-power devices like disposables — it stays smooth at 50mg/mL and absorbs faster, which is why a few puffs from a salt nic disposable can satisfy a craving as quickly as a cigarette.

Why do all IGET disposables use nicotine salt?

Disposable vapes run at low wattage with small coils, which doesn't suit freebase nicotine. Salt nic is the right chemistry match: it delivers a strong nicotine hit at low power, stays smooth, and tastes truer to the flavour profile of the e-liquid. That's why every IGET One, IGET Bar Pro and ALIBARBAR PRO disposable uses salt nic exclusively.

Is salt nic safer than freebase nicotine?

Salt nic is not inherently 'safer' — the nicotine itself is the same addictive substance. The advantage is comfort: you can use a high strength (which satisfies smoking cravings faster) without the harsh throat hit. Nicotine in any form is highly addictive and is not suitable for non-smokers, pregnant women, or anyone under 18.

How fast does salt nic absorb compared to a cigarette?

Salt nic e-liquid at 50mg/mL absorbs faster than freebase vape juice and approaches the absorption profile of a cigarette — typically delivering peak blood-nicotine levels within a few minutes. That fast satisfaction is why salt nic disposables work well as a smoking-cessation aid for adult smokers.

Will salt nic vapes leak or taste burnt?

Genuine IGET disposables use mesh coils and sealed pod construction that minimise leaking and dry-hits. To get the cleanest flavour from any salt nic device: take slow 2–3 second puffs, wait between draws, and store the device upright at room temperature.
